"One example of in-service training for teachers dealing with the gifted and talented is what’s being done for the summer programs,” Estabrook said. "We’re training the teachers in special methods for dealing with the summer program.”
Reeve commented that this special training would help make teachers not involved in the program more aware of the special needs of the gifted and talented. "You were hoping last summer that this training would spread by association to other teachers,” she said.
"We didn’t have all the data we needed then,” Estabrook said. The work that we’ve done this spring will help us.”
“Do you feel that you will have to involve each teacher in order to make this program successful?” asked Reeve.
