Answer: Yes. Rush River will no longer exist as we know it, especially in summer. It will be a great, algae-covered, stinking stretch of water known as Sam’s Lagoon.
The hydrographic study and report isn’t worth the paper it is {Hinted on. It was done by an out-of-state hydrogeologist, not certified in Virginia and paid by Sam.
You could send three hydrogeologists up to Harris Hollow and you would get three different reports.
If a qualified expert had been hired by a third party— say the Town of Washington—it may at best have been an educated guess. The fact is no one knows.
Question: What needs to be done to alleviate the concerns of Harris Hollow residents before a home for adults can be built?
Answer: Nothing needs to be done; nothing can be done. Our concerns cannot be satisfied.
