In case you’d forgotten, as I had, what 1963’s rates were: for real estate we paid 42 cents per hundred dollars of assessed value, and for personal property it was $6.60 per hundred.
1964’s personal property levy is unchanged ftfta 1983, and 61 cents per hundred dollars for real estate may not sound tike a whole lot more than forty-two. But look at it in terms of percentage points, and Mr. Eastham a boucem becdflles aD to dear.
