The responsibilities of the worksite include providing the youths meaningful work and supervising the youths. The worksite is not responsible for any portion of tiie wages or fringe benefits earned by the SYEP participants.
All interested youths 1421 years of age should contact the Guidance Office at the local high school, Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) in Culpeper, or the SYEP office at (703) 3477018.
All eligible youths’ applications will be reviewed. Applicants will be referred to potential job sites to be interviewed by the personnel at the worksites. Efforts will be made to refer more than one applicant for each position so the applicant must successfully complete the interview to be hired and enrolled in the program. The work experience will be made as dose to the real world of work as possible.
