Washington National Zoo Trip Planned
Sign up now for the trip to the National Zoo on Saturday, September 15, sponsored by Fauquier County Parks and Recreation. The chartered, air-conditioned bus will leave from Fauquier High School at 8:30 а. m. and will return to Fauquier High at approximately 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival at the zoo, participants will be on their own to explore the park until meeting the bus for the return trip. Cost of the trip is $7.50 per person. Registration is limited to the first 45 to sign up and pay at the Parks and Recreation office, 14 Main Street, Warrenton.

Coppedge Family Reunion
The families of the late George and Florence Coppedge will have their annual reunion on Sunday, September 9 at the Rappahannock Park on Route 211 near Washington beginning at 11 a.m.
All relatives and friends are invited. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

Morning classes will be at the Old Washington School Monday and Thursday at 9 a.m. Afternoon classes will be at the Flint Hill fire hall Wednesday and Friday at 4 p.m. Evening classes will be held at the Rappahannock Elementary School Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. New students are welcomed. Evening Courses At Germanna
Germanna Community College will offer a wide variety of evening courses this fall when the early-start calendar goes into effect on September 10.
Convenient off-campus locations include Culpeper and Orange County High Schools, as well as Fauquier Technical Center, to better accommodate those students in the western portion of Germanna’s service area.

Foxhound Trial And Bench Show
The Northern Virginia Fox Hunter’s Association, Inc. will be holding their 20th annual foxhound field trial and bench show September 5, б, 7, and 8. Everyone is welcome.
The bench show will be held Wednesday evening, 7:30 p.m., at the Culpeper Agicultural Enterprise. The field trial will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning. Directions and times will be given at the bench show. Mr. Herman Cox of Jonesboro, Tenn. will serve as Master of Hounds and Bench Show Judge. Major Gerald Simmons of the Va. Game Commission will be the Assistant Master. Our area Game Wardens along with the State Police will supervise the trial. Hounds will be judged approximately five hours each morning. The owners will begin collecting them around noon.

The Washington Masonic Lodge #78 will meet on Monday, September 3 at 8 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church.
Gospel Group To Perform
The Hemphill family will perform at Fauquier High School in Warrenton on Saturday, September 1 at 7:30 p.m.
The Hemphills, one of the most popular gospel groups in the nation will be sponsored by Praise Communications, Inc. in Warrenton. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12. For more information call 349-1250.
