There were no report* of forcible rape, robbery or murder/non-negtigent manslaughter in 1968. One incident of murder was recorded in 1982.
Of Rappahannock’s 74 recorded index crimes, 66 were reported to the Sheriff’s Department with the remainder reported to the State Police. The crime-solution rate was 30.77 percent of cases handled by the Sheriffs Department, and 66.67 percent of cases reported to the State Police.
