Three Huntly women received
minor injuries August 24 when a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair driven by Annie Frazier went out of control as it was going north on Route 522 near Front Royal. The car turned completely over and landed back on its wheels. Frazier, of Huntly, received cuts on her right leg, contusions of the right shoulder and suffered from shock. Her mother, Ella Frazier suffered shock, as did a third passenger, Annie’s sister Mary. Damage to the car was estimated at $800.
DonkeybaU may be unfamiliar to many in Rappahannock, (see story, page 10) but the sport has been played in the county at least as far back as 1964 — when the Washington Junior Firemen sponsored such a contest played on August 22 in the Carnival Grounds.
