The current sewage treatment project user costs will be “in the neighborhood of $12 or $15 per user per month,” Baumgardner said.
The current project will treat sewage by adding a chlorine additive, and is considered a package-treatment system—compared with the lagoon system originally envisioned for the project in the late 1970’s.
Baumgardner said changes in state law since 1977 necessitated seeking the two amendments, rather than ask the supervisors for another variance permit.
