John W. Warner's (R) agricultural past, present and future plans could make him popular among Rappahannock voters this fall.
As a boy, Warner worked on farms in the U pperville-Middleburg area; he has owned and operated farms in Virginia since 1961, he said.
“Whenever retirement comes, that's where I’m headed,” Warner told editors of Arundel Newspapers August 24.
Warner owns a farm of some 1,900 acres in Fauquier County, he said. He spoke nostalgically about an “old, 1949 M that nobody messes with.”
