For Nursing Program

Applications are now being accepted for the Germanna Community College Nursing Program which will begin in June, 1985. The application deadline is February 1. The Nursing Program at Germanna is a two year, full time day program, which prepares graduates to qualify to take the State Board of Nursing Examination for Registered Nurse Licensure. Graduates from Germanna Community College Nursing Program receive an Associate in Science degree with a msqor in nursing.

Jaycees To Meet

The Jaycees will meet Thursday, January 31 at Brambles. Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Swinging Country Dance

There will be a Swinging County Dance to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 15 at 8 p.m. in the Sperryville Fire Hall.

Tom Bledsoe and Rich Kirby who are among the country’s leading performers of southern mountain music, will be wailing on fiddles, banjos, mandolins and harps in the old time tradition of country dancing. Everyone’s invited to join in the rounds, squares, lines and country swing. Families are welcome.

Admission is $4.00 for RAAC members, $4.50 for others, and $2.00 for students and seniors. This event is sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC). For information call 675-3193.

Culpeper Extension School
