George Amos Johnston, 86, of Boston, died on Tuesday, January 22 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late John William and Eldora Hawkins Johnston. He was a plasterer by trade.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lottie Deco Carter Johnston; three daughters, Mrs. Edna J. Payne and Mrs. Eva Mae Karnes, both of Culpeper and Mrs. Virginia Russell Thornhill of Boston; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
