Mrs. Ellen Virginia Atkins, 57, of Front Royal, died Friday, January 25 in Warren Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper. Burial was in the Sperryville Cemetery.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of Kinsey Jefferson Atkins of Harrisonburg and Izra Dodson Atkins of Frederick, Md.
Surviving with her parents are her husband, Henry Harrison Atkins; two daughters, Geraldine Jennings and Ellen Mae Jennings, both of Front Royal; four sons, Henry Harrison Atkins, Jr. of Marshall, Larry Atkins of Manassas, Ray Atkins of Delaplane and Robert Ashby Atkins of Front Royal and 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Marie Foster and Sadie Baker, both of Front Royal, Laura Ann Smoot of Washington and Charlotte Atkins of Orlando, Fla and four brothers, Sherman Atkins of Harrisonburg, Charles Ashby Atkins of Charles Town, West Virginia, James Douglas Atldns of Frederick, Md. and Russell Atkins of Orlando, Florida.
