World War II Veteran
Carl Frazier, Sr., 69, of Bentonville, died Sunday, January 27 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Charles Clinedinst and the Rev. Trueman Trimble. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Front Royal.
Mr. Frazier was born July 22, 1916, at Sperryville, son of the late Benjamin and Fanny Atkins Frazier. He was married to the late Emily Sue Frazier and was a member of the Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle of Sperryville. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are seven sons, Charles E. Frazier and Lynwood Frazier of Front Royal, Carl Frazier, Jr., David Lee Frazier, Melvin Thomas Frazier and Paul Dixon Frazier, all of Bentonville and William Allen Frazier of Fairfax; four daughters, Susan Mae Slusher, Shelby Jean Foster, Brenda Rae Bridge, all of Front Royal and Mary Ann Soyers of Strasburg Road, Front Royal; a sister, Annie Duncan of Tampa, Fla.; a stepbrother, William Frazie*- of Chester Gap and 15 grandchildren.
