Virginia politicians are said to be congenitally attuned to the twists, turns, and dangers inherent in the framing of public fiscal policy, whether it is done by the White House, the state legislature or by the local Board of Supervisors.
They are also said to be able to sniff out, like a coon dog on the trail, any federal financial shenanigans which might redound to the disadvantage of the Old Dominion.
