Barbara Gentry attended the Postmasters State Convention in Richmond from Sunday until Wednesday of last week.

Bemie Gilpin and Mrs. Ethel Pullen spent the weekend with Mr. Gilpin’s son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Terry McCaffrey and Kelly at Sterling.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rogers of Harpers Ferry, W. Va., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson.

Mrs. Lynn Lillard and Miss Dana Lillard of Springfield were dinner guests Saturday of the Hiekersons.

Ronnie Lillard of Warrenton and George Grimsley visited Mrs. Ethel Lillard Sunday. Visiting their mother last Sunday were Jeff Lillard and Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Lillard and Christy of Front Royal.

Keith and Kevin Kinsey of Front Royal are spending the week with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huff.

The Flint Hill United Methodist Church will have worship service on Sunday, August 3, at 11:15 a.m. with Communion. The pastor Rev. Merlin Shorb invites the public.

Miss Heather Aylor of Sperryville and Miss Karen Corder of Front Royal were accompanied homen Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dennis of Jackson, S. C. They had spent three weeks visiting the Dennis family.

En route to Jackson they visited the Carowinds Amusement Park in Charlotte, N. C., went camping at Clarks Hill Lake at Clarks Hill, S. C., for a week and spent another week at Hunting Island Beach. Among other fun things they saw the movie Karate Kid II.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis will be spending about a week with Mrs. Dennis’ mother Mrs. Robert Nethers and their daughter Debbie Dennis at Huntly.

The Flint Hill fireman’s annual carnival is this week. The big parade will begin tonight at 6:30 p.m. The carnival continues through Saturday when the grand prize will be given away. Be sure to attend this annual
