The sound of music on Culpeper’s Courthouse Lawn Sunday, Aug. 3, will be that of Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa, Artie Shaw and their contemporaries when the Bluemont Concert Series presents Hot Jazz at 7:30 p.m. as the fifth of the summer series, Peter H. Dunning, cofounder and director of Bluemont, has announced.
The Washington, D.C., area based group is headed by Brooks Tegler, drummer, and includes Clyde Hunt, trumpet and flugehorn; Terry Benton, bass and vocals; Gary Gregg, clarinet and tenor saxophone; John Cocuzzi, vibraphone and piano; Sid Keithly, piano, and Jeff Severson, guitar.
