will split Don Bomberger’s advanced mathematics classes, and two replacements will take over the lower level math courses. An RCHS special education teacher, who was an art major as an undergraduate, will be asked to assume Mr. Bomberger’s art courses. “We’ve checked, and she can handle it with her special education schedule,” Mr. Estabrook said. “We’re not looking to phase out art at all,” he emphasized.
Vacancies remain in kindergarten, third grade, seventh grade math and music at both schools and lower level math at the high school. “I expect to talk to another 40 applicants—at least—before we hire people for those positions,” Mr. Estabrook said, adding that he expected all jobs to be filled before school begins.
