Farmers from six area counties will have an opportunity to let their voices be heard and to select delegates to attend the United Farmer & Rancher Congress sponsored by Farm Aid. A caucus has been scheduled for Saturday, August 9, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Community Room of the Second National Bank at Main and Davis Streets in Culpeper. One of 500 being held nationwide, the caucus will drawparticipants from Madison, Greene, Rappahannock, Orange, Fauquier and Culpeper counties.

Caucus organizers are encouraging farmers and rural residents from the six-county area to be a part of this historic effort. Approximately 1,500 delegates will gather in St. Louis September 11-13 to formulate solutions to the growing farm crisis.

Although each caucus is allowed to select one of its delegates from among non-farmers who participate, all of the remaining delegates chosen will be farmers. A delegate will be
