The meeting on the proposed
alternative sewage disposal systems for the town of Sperry ville, originally scheduled for 8 p.m. on July 30 at the Sperry - ville fire house, has been cancelled. Supervisor Chairman Pete Luke explained that there is no need to hold the meeting until after the August 5 meeting of the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors. At that time, the Supervisors will either endorse or reject a Water and Sewer Authority resolution requiring mandatory hook-ups to the proposed Sperry ville system.
The Rappahannock Polo Team will be opposed Friday night at Fannon Field at Laurel Mills by a Cincinnati, Ohio, club. Game time is 8 p.m. A second game beginning at 9 o’clock will be inter-club competition. The public is invited.
