George Sharp’s letter in the July 24 issue reports that last May he was “told by the school board office that $3.2 million has been budgeted-for the schools for a student body of about 940” in the school year that starts next September. And, says Mr. Sharp, “this comes to $3,400 per student.” And that, he says, is “substantially higher” than the $2,625.59 that we had noted earlier for perpupil spending in Rappahannock.
