Miss Lisa Kimberly Priest, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robert Priest Sr. of Amissville, became the bride of Lewis Trenholm Morrison, son of Dr. and Mrs. Roger W. Morrison of Asheville, N. C., at 7 o’clock the evening of Saturday, May 24, at the Amissville Baptist Church.
Dr. Paul Franklin performed the double ring candlelight service. Traditional music was played by Mrs. Landra Grizzle, organist, while Mrs. Sharon Thomasson sang The Wedding Song and The Lord’s Prayer.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore an European styled gown of touche satin accented with silk Venice lace, sequins and pearls. Thfe skirt and chapel length train had motifs of silk enbroidered organza with sequins and pearls. Her finger tip veil of illusion fell from a band of Alencon lace and pearls. She carried a traditional bouquet of white roses, trailing ivy and baby’s breath.
Miss Andrea J. Hedley of Nashville, Tenn., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Margaret M. Priest of Gaithersburg, Md., Miss L. Lynn Amos of Harrisonburg, Miss Teresa L. Poe of Amissville and Mrs. Donna B. Lawrence of The Plains.
The attendants wore long full skirted Southern belle type gowns of dusty pink. They carried lace baskets of sterling silver roses and pink carnations.
