Rappahannock County High School’s sophomore class ranked near the top of all school divisions in the state in the Minimum Competency tests administered in March of this year.
According to figures released by the State Superintendent of Instruction’s office, 98.3 percent of RCHS sophomores passed both the reading and the math sections of the exam. RCHS ranked fourth in the North'era Virginia Region behind Clarke Co., 100 percent, Frederick Co., 99.2 percent, and Loudoun Co., 98.7 percent. Rappahannock ranked 19th among 140 school divisions statewide in the percentage of students passing the exam.
