Homecoming at Slate Mills The Slate Mills Baptist Church will observe homecoming Sunday, August 10. The day's program begins with Sunday School for all ages at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dot Bryan, former pastor of Novum and Slate Mills Baptist Churches, preaching. Special music is planned by the choirs of the church. Following the worship service, dinner will be served on the grounds. "This will be a great time of fellowship of former members, ministers and friends,” said Pastor Harold Eaton. An afternoon service is planned for 2 p.m. The pastor and congregation invite the public to attend.
