Izaak Walton League to meet The Izaak Walton League will meet Monday, August 11, at 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock Medical Center. All interested persons are urged to attend.
Homecoming at Chester Gap Chester Gap Baptist Church will be having homecoming services on Sunday, August 17, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by worship at Fellowship dinner will be held at 1 p.m. Everette Powell, pastor of Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church, will be speaking at 2 p.m. and the Truth Singers from Warrenton will provide special music.
Beahm family reunion planned All friends and relatives are invited to the third annual G. W. Beahm family reunion to be held Sunday, August 31, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Rappahannock Park on Route 211 near Washington. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, beverage and table service. Coffee will be provided. A special attraction this year will be for each family to submit a favorite Beahm/Boehm/Beam recipe that has been passed on to them. Historical Society picnic The Historical Society picnic has been postponed to Friday, September 5, when it will be held at Caledonia Farm, near Flint Hill, the home of Phil Irwin.
