The firemen's carnival came to an end on Saturday evening and was very well attended. The weather was good all week except for some rain early on Saturday evening which made the grounds a bit messy but the event was still enjoyed by all. The firemen and ladies auxiliary thank everyone for their support throughout the week.
Mrs. Irene Hamilton of High Point, N. C., arrived Sunday to spend the week with her mother Mrs. Moffett Brady.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sours of Warrenton, Miss Sharon Pierpoint of Alexandria and Miss Lisa Pierpoint of California visited Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard Thursday.
Visiting in the Lillard home Saturday were Mrs. Maizie Montgomery of Warrenton and Pam Montgomery of Maryland.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger W'elch and children Courtney and Ryan of Mt. Airy, Md., spent several days last week with Mrs. Roland W'elch at her home Mountain View. Others visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Welch and Billy, Mrs Owen Sealock, Dale Welch and Mrs. Esta Kidwell.
