Mrs. Pendlebury

Florence Maloney Pendlebury, 75, of Richmond, formerly of Sperryville, died Feb. 10 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.

A native of Sperryville, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. (Rube) and Daisy Frances Woodard Atkins and the widow of John Pendlebury.

She is survived by a son Charles Pendlebury of Richmond, a sister Lula Harding of Welcome, Md., and a brother Linwood Atkins of Winchester.

A graveside service was conducted Feb. 13 in the Sperryville Cemetery by the Rev. Gordon D. George.

William Houghton

William Benton Houghton, 76, of Huntly, died Feb. 16 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Houghton was bom Sept. 23, 1911, in Rappahannock County, the son of Wilbur and Rovilla Parnell Houghton.

Surviving are four sisters, Violet McCracken of Fayetteville, N.C., Cora Poe of Woodbridge, Alice Burke and Mattie Partlow of Front
