THE CORPORATE

TRANSFER

The corporate transfer is the best of all worlds, financially, that is. Many companies offer to buy, at a fair market value, the home of their transferred employee, or in some. cases, to lend him or her (without interest charge) the equity in that home and manage the property after the family moves out. Manage usually means maintain it and pay mortgage installments, insurance and taxes until it is sold. Most companies also have a specified period of time during which they will pay living expenses while the family househunts and/or awaits closing.

If you are a selling transferee, therefore, you will know exactly what equity you have in your property as soon as the company finishes its fair-market-value appraisal. You will then know that the cash you'll need will be available for the closing date of the property you are about to buy.

If you are a due-to-be corporate transferee, why not give us a call? We can help you at both ends of the transfer. That’s our specialty.
