Nazareth Baptist
An Easter Sunday sunrise service will be held Sunday, April 3, at 6 o’clock at the Nazareth Baptist Church, Boston. The Rev. George Dean, choir and congregation from Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville, will be the guests. Breakfast will be served following the service. Rev. Howard Frye, pastor, says everyone is welcome.
Promise Land Baptist
Good Friday services will be conducted at the Promise Land Baptist Church April 1 at 8 p.m. by Rev. Wendell R. Grant. Holy Communion will be celebrated.
Sunrise service at Red Oak
The Amissville, Woodville and Forest Grove Baptist Churches will hold their traditional Easter sunrise service at 6:30 (EDT) on Red Oak Mountain, near Woodville. The Rev. James A. Floyd, interim minister of the Amissville Baptist Church, will give this year’s sermon. The Rev. L. Starke Jones of the Woodville Baptist
Church and the Rev. Sidney E. Rodriguez of Forest Grove will also participate. In the event of bad weather, the service will be at the Forest Grove Baptist Church at Viewtown. After the service, the Forest Grove Baptist Church will serve breakfast at the Forest Grove Schoolhouse for all worshippers.
