the portion of the Appalachian Trail just north of the Shenandoah National Park. Hikers will set out at 6 #um., and their progress will be monitored at five checkpoints along the way.
The Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group will maintain two-way communications among the checkpoints and provide emergency medical support and safety guidelines.
Registration must be received by April 16 and the hike will be limited to the first 125 persons who register. For an information package and registration form, hikers should send a stamped, self-addressed, businesssize envelope to Dogwood Half Hundred, Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, 1718 N.
