PAID POLITICAL ADVERTISEMENT ■1‘v, CAUCUS NOTICE The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee hereby announces that it will hold a caucus at 7:30 PM, April 11, 1988. at the Courthouse, Washington, Virginia, for the purpose of electing delegates and alternates lo the 7th District Democratic Convention and the State Democratic Convention to be held on June 3-4, 1988 at the Pavilion Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The 7th District Convention will be held at 2:00 PM on May 21, 1988 at Culpeper High School to: 11) elect four (4) delegates and one (I) alternate to the National Democratic Convention to be held on July 18-21 in Atlanta. Georgia; a Democratic elector for the Commonwealth of Virginia from the 7th District; and members of the state convention committees; and (2) to nominate a Democratic candidate for the U S. House of Representatives from the 7th District The 1988 State Democratic Convention will nominate a candidate for the U.S. Senate; elect 26 delegates and 9 alternates to the 1988 National Democratic Convention; elect two at-large Democratic electors, and may also consider any business which may properly come before it. Any person attending a caucus, before participating in that caucus, shall sign a standard Declaration Form, stating that he or she is a Democrat, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the next ensuing general election, is not a mem hereof any other political party, has not participated and will not participate in the nominating process of any other party for the 1988 Presidential election, and is a registered voter of Rappahannock County. Declaration Forms must be filled out at the caucus site prior to 7:30 PM, April II, 1988. Doors to die caucus will be closed at this time and no persons may complete a form or enter the caucus site after this time with the exception of those persons in line at the above-mentioned time. Persons wishing to be delegates or alternates to these conventions must prefile, with the Chair of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee or his designee listed below. They must also pay a SIS filing fee or sign a waiver. All forms must be received prior to 5:00 PM, April 6,1988. The following person has been designated to dispense and receive profiling forms.
