Herbal healing workshop
Healing the Family is an indepth exploration of the six stages of healing in the Wise Woman Tradition. A complete home herbal medicine chest will be presented and discussed as well as hands on preparation of tinctures, salves, poultices and infusions. Fee for workshop is $50 or $80 per couple. The class will be held Saturday, April 16, at Jordan River Farm, beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 5. Harambee in concert
Harambee, gospel choir of Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music, will be in concert Good Friday, April 1, at 8 p.m. in the Goodson Recital Hall on campus. The concert is free.
Players and helpers needed
Auditions for Alan Ayckbourn’s contemporary British comedy, Bedroom Farce, will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, and Friday, April 8. The production is being co-sponsored by RAAC and the Rappahannock Players. Rehearsals will begin the week of April 11 and performances will be June 17, 18 and 19 at the Gay St. Theatre. Calling artists and craftsmen
The Festival of American Craft, formerly held at Faith Mountain Company in Sperryville, has moved to Oldway Craft Village, on Rt. 211 just west of Sperryville. Space limitations sparked the donation of the festival to Oldway, a new center devoted to demonstrating the old work skills of today’s craftsmen.
The festival is being held Memorial Day weekend, May 28 and 29, and applications are now being accepted from artists and craftspeople.
