A graveside service was conducted March 28 in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, by Rev. Charles V. Shifflett.
George Jenkins
George Booten Jenkins, 67, of Sperryville, died March 26 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jenkins was born March 30, 1920, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Ellis H. and Savilla C. Jenkins.
He was a self-employed farmer and a member of the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by a sister Mrs. Virginia J. Woodard and a brother Mitchell Jenkins, both of Sperryville.
A funeral service was conducted March 28 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper by Rev. Ronald Wiley and Rev. Carl Menefee. Burial was in the Sperryville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Donald Gore, Bill Fletcher, Elmer Atkins, Huey Atkins, John Eubank, Howard Butler, Carroll Fry and H. B. Wood.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department.
