The Flint Hill United Methodist Church will have a charge wide sunrise service on Easter Sunday, April 3, at 6:30. (Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead!) The Rev. Merlin Shorb, pastor, will deliver the message. After the service breakfast will be served at the fire hall.

Maundy Thursday will be observed at the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church beginning at 7:30 p.m. A Good Friday Communion service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville United Methodist Church.

Sgt. and Mrs. Mark Werner and son Joshua of Petersburg spent the weekend with Mrs. Werner’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest.

Leon Lillard and daughters Amy and Alison of Broad Run and Thomas Williams of Front Royal were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lillard. The Lillards’ daughter Mrs. Lois Duncan of Broad Run visited them Saturday.

James Nicholson returned to his home in Luray on Friday from Warren Memorial Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hickerson at Chester Gap.

Mrs. Reba Good of Luray and Mrs. Virginia Good of Stanley spent Monday and Tuesday with Miss Sallie Lillard. They returned on Wednesday with Mrs. Geneva Cubbage of Stanley to attend the funeral af Mrs. Catherine Huff. Others from a distance attending the funeral were cousins Mr. and Mrs. Willie Potter and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rogers of Charleston, W. Va.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wade of Chantilly spent the weekend with Mrs. Wade’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brady, Patrick and Matthew of Warrenton were guests Sunday of Mrs. Moffett. Brady.

A. 0. Smoot was honored Sunday at a birthday dinner at his home. His guests included Mr. and Mrs. James Bywaters and Jimmy, Mrs. A. 0. Smoot and Gary, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Smoot and Krystal and Mr. and Mrs. William Smoot and Lisa, all of Culpeper. Mr. Smoot received many nice and useful gifts.

Mrs. Ethel Pullen spent a few days with her sister Mrs. Lena Pullen in Winchester and spent the
