The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club will once again sponsor the Dogwood Half Hundred, a rigorous one-day hike covering a 34-mile (50km) section of the Appalachian Trail in Northern Virginia.
Now in its third year, the Dogwood Half Hundred has rapidly earned a place among the major hiking events of the East Coast. Last year, it drew 119 participants from seven states and the District of Columbia. The top finisher completed the steep and difficult course in just 6 hours, 54 minutes.
