Music, literature, art and dance still reflect the ancient themes they did when the first men looked around and realized they’d have to learn from each other. The themes are the same, and so is the method — storytelling — to entertain, enlighten, teach and comfort.
The Golden Key Performance Group, now based in Washington, Virginia, uses dancers, actors, storytellers, musicians and visual artists to present the stories, familiar and new, that touch those things in our lives that most confuse, frighten, inspire or delight us.
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community is presenting this unusual local group on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Gay Street Theater in Washington.
