Meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude an hour and a half later. Attendance at all meetings is essential, Ms. Weaver stressed.
Marge Hall, hospice bereavement specialists, and Martha Galey, R. N., will lead the group. Session topics will include member’s expert-' ences, feelings, and reactions to death, the stages of grief, understanding feelings, and exploring support systems.
Comments from the first group’s evaluations include, “I learned that others have suffered the same grief as I learned to deal with it,” and, “I was able to spend some time with people who faced some of the problems I am facing now.” These people can sincerely say they know what the bereaved are going through, the director said.
