They wanted to bell some cats but the cats had them intimidated! For my own part, I, at first, flatly declined to be stampeded on this and did not join with the unhappy and disatisfied members until the spring of 1980.
Although I realized that “people problems” generally are found to be the root cause of unsatisfactory service, I also wanted to be completely fair to the administrators involved. Sometimes there are three sides to each question: your side, my side, and the truth. As the months rolled by, the sufficient and creditable evidence piled in upon me that the “unhappy and dissatisfied” were right and that drastic changes were essential.
