Needa Bennett

Mrs. Needa Sommerville Bennett, 85, of Culpeper, widow of Otis Lloyd Bennett, died on Aug. 28 at University of Virginia Hospital.

She was a native of Rappahannock County and was the daughter of the late Albert and Molly Dodson Woodward. She was A former resident of what is now Shenandoah National Park.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Jane Aylor and Frances Elizabeth Blanch, both of Culpeper; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held Aug. 31 at Bethsaida United Methodist Church Cemetery at Bright wood.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Doggett, Tommy Doggett, Woodrow Gimbel, Thomas L. Thomas and Joseph Marks.

Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

John Hamilton Frazier, 50, a former resident of Sperryville died on Aug. 28 at Western State Hospital, Staunton.
