Marie Ward
Mrs. Marie Brown Ward, 83, of Boston died Aug. 23 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
She was a native of Culpeper County and had lived in Boston. Mrs. Ward was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Patsy W. Jenkins, Culpeper; three sons, Garnet Ward, Wildwood, FI., Jack H. Ward and William P. Ward, both of Boston; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mabel Grady and Kathleen Edwards, both of Culpeper.
Her husband was the late Howard Bellington Ward.
Her parents were the late Phillip W. and Susie Smith Brown.
A funeral service was held at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel on Aug. 26. The Rev. Charles E. Elliott officiated. Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Elizabeth Curtis
Mrs. Elizabeth Jenkins Curtis, 69, of Stafford died Aug. 24 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was bom in Sperryville. She was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lester E. Curtis Sr.; two sons, Rev. Lester Curtis Jr., Martinsburg, W.Va. and Rufus Wayne Curtis, Reva; three daughters, Ms. Peggy Elizabeth Lillard, Mrs. Audrey Rig
