Three members of the Rappahannock County Garden Club attended the First National Environmental Education Showcase last week in Harrisonburg, Pennsylvania, sponsored by the National Council of State Garden Clubs. The featured speaker for the event was consumer advocate Ralph Nader. The three-day event included visits to the Three Mile Island nuclear plant on the Susquehanna River, workshops on the ecology of that river, visits to Hershey and the farms of the region and to ZooAmerica, the habitat-oriented zoo of Hershey Park.
