Sectional Center Manager'Postmaster Neal Perkins, Charlottesville Management Area, announced today that the Rural Carrier Examination will be given in the near future and urged that all interested persons apply to take the job related test that can lead to Postal Service employment. Applications will be accepted for all “227” ZIP Code Offices with rural delivery.
This examination will be used to establish the “227" Area Eligibility Register" for the position of Rural Carrier. Applicants will have the opportunity to select three post offices for employment consideration. Complete information about the Register will be provided at the time of the test.
Mr. Perkins emphasized that, is not the intent of the Postal Service to give the impression that there will be great numbers of people hired in the coming months. A limited number of vacancies will be filled during the next two years at the 227 Zip
