At RCES, this non-friable asbestos is found only in boiler room insulation, pipe elbows in the storage room and in floor tiles. “As long as no one breaks up the floor tiles or digs holes in them, there’s no problem, no danger,” the assistant superintendent said.
At the high school, non-friable asbestos is present in pipe elbows in the shop, two classrooms and on stage; in the boiler room insulation; and in the floor tiles in the older portions of the building.
