Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley and “Sherlock” camped from Thursday until Monday at Jess Rocks in Fort Valley, the vacation place of Mrs. Jesse Curtis of Woodbridge.
Mrs. Barbara Eanes of Martinsville and Mrs. Virginia Lindstrom spent three days at Virginia Beach recently. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnson and J. William Campbell of Luray were guests of Mrs. Lindstrom while there also.
Walter Longyear returned home recently after spending a week in Honduras on a Christian Mission.
Mrs. Betty Jean Moulis of Silver Spring, Md. and Mrs. Lisa McFarlon of Norfolk were Wednesday overnight guests of Mrs. Ned Settle, Jimmy and William. They were in Charlottesville on Thursday for Jimmy’s checkup.
Johnathan Deal of Hume spent from Friday until Monday with his great grandmother Mrs. Annie Hawkins.
Recent guests of Mrs. Annie Hawkins were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hawkins of Arlington, Billy Hawkins of Stephens City and Roger Hawkins of Warrenton. Guests last Saturday were Mrs. Dottie Burke of Fairfax and Mr. and Mrs. John Deal, Jamie and Johnathan of Hume.
Mrs. Mabel Burke and granddaughter Molly Burke of Woodville were Sunday guests of Mrs. Annie Hawkins.
Mrs. Frances Eubank and Johnny Eubank were in Culpeper on Wednesday and had lunch at Country Cookin.
Monday Mrs. Frances Eubank visited Mrs. Minnie Foster in Flint Hill.
The community was saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Jack Bruce. Our sympathy to the family.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Slack of Baltimore, Md. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark. On Sunday Mrs. Ruth Clark, houseguest Mrs. Barbara Slack and Robert L. Frazier were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Richie Eastham in Rileyville.
