and Dixie Dodson, Woodville; a sister, Juanita Ponn, Luray; two brothers, Gilbert L. and Ernest I. Purdham, both of Stanley; two half brothers, Edward Gets Jr. and Charles Getz, both of Winchester; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Oct. 13 at the Church of the Valley by the Rev. Alfred Comer, the Rev. Mahlon Horst and the Rev. Seldon Williams. Burial was in Graves Chapel Cemetery.
Charlie Brown
Charlie Brown, 75, of Amissville, died Oct. 12, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Brown was a native of Rappahannock and a retired farm worker.
Survivors include one brother, David Brown, Woodville; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Curtis of New Jersey; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, Sperryville on Oct. 15.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Louise Foster
Louise Burke Foster, 74, of Shade Farm, Woodville, died Oct. 14 in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Foster was born Feb. 23, 1914,in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late George Booten and Mary Catherine Fincham Burke. She was a member of Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle.
Surviving are her husband, G. Elbert Foster; four sons, James Foster, Bobby Foster, both of Woodville, Donald Foster, Washington
