Wrecks send four
to area hospitals
A close call on Rt. 211 2 1/2 miles east of Skyline Drive sent two people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
According to State Trooper H. A. Newlin, Georgette Marie Getter, 27, of Stanley, was driving a 1986 Mitsubishi pickup west on Rt. 211 when she lost control on a sharp right turn, crossed a double yellow line and hit a tractor-trailer truck head on.
Ms. Getter initially refused treatment, but was later transported to Page Memorial Hospital for treatment of facial cuts. Her passenger, Perry A. Fox, also of Stanley, was taken to Page Memorial by the Sperryville Rescue Squad with possible neck and
