Flint Hill carnival planned
Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department’s annual carnival will be held Aug. 2-5. Scheduled events include rides all evening Wednesday 00400702for one low price beginning at 7 p.m.; Thursday evening the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday, awarding of prizes which will include a 1989 Dodge. Area residents are urged to mark their calendars and make plans to attend.
Baseball Trophy Day set
The Amissville Baseball League will hold a picnic and “Trophy * Day” on July 23. Awards will be presented, as well as, a drawing for an autographed Redskins football dorfeted by Rick Hunt Ford and a Redskins jacket donated by Rankin’s Sporting Goods. Winners need not be present. The kids are now selling tickets for $1; contest will last until July 23. The community is invited to visit Stuart Field evenings and Saturdays to support the teams and share in the excitement.
