CLOSING SALE IN ABSENTIA
As a seller, you do not have to be physically present when your home is sold and papers are passed. Many home settlements are completed when their owners are out of state or even out of the country. One of the benefits of listing your home through our office is that you have us, as the responsible party to help make all the arrangements prior to the sale (in cooperation with your attorney).
Once you have accepted an offer and the sales contract has been signed by all parties, a date will be set for the closing and our agency will handle the rest for you. We will telephone you immediately with a report on the settlement. Copies of all papers material to the settlement will be mailed to you. The check will be deposited or mailed to you as directed. Either way, it will be endorsed as “Payable to the account of (named payee only)”.
