Saute bacon with onion until bacon is browned and onion is tender. Drain drippings. Add peppers and saute 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in orzo. Remove from heat. Drain artichoke hearts, reserving marinade. Cut artichokes into 1/2 in. strips and add to sauteed mixture along with apples. Drizzle with mannade and lemon juice. Toss to mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
