Mary Frances Riley Miss Mary Frances Riley of Richmond, formerly of Flint Hill, died July 2, at Metropolitan Hospital in Richmond. A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Mary Jane Rutherford Riley. She is survived by three nieces, Etta Jane Smoot, Carrie Harris and Mary Lee Estes, all of Culpeper, two nephews, Thomas W. Smoot, Brandy Station and Reuben W. Smoot, Richmond; and three great nephews, Fred Jenkins Jr., Culpeper and Thomas Smoot Jr. and Harold B. Estes Jr., both of Hampton.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosie Riley Smoot. A graveside funeral was held July 5 at Flint Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, the Rev. Garland Hines officiating/ Geest Johnson Funeral Home was in Charge of the arrangements.
Rhoda K. Jones Rhoda K. Jones, 85, of Hartford, Conn., formerly of Amissville, died on July 1 in Hartford, Conn. Survivors include two sisters, Eva Clarke and Ethel Phillips, both of Hartford, Conn.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Chester Jones. Graveside services were held July 7, in Phillips family cemetery, Amissville. The Rev. Carter Alsberry officiated. r
