Mrs. William Lynn, Jr., of
Washington, assistant administrator and guidance counselor at Wakefield School, was one of'more than 125 college admissions officers and secondary school counselors who attended The Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions, June 24-29, at Harvard University.
Mrs. Margaret Ann Carroll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donald of Castleton, graduated June 9 from New'College of the University of South Florida in. Sarasota. She earned a BA degree with a major in Social Ethics.

Gary Settle, 22, joined the
Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department July 1 as a full-time deputy. Settle is a native of Rappahannock, but grew up in Manassas where his family lived until he was 12. Upon the family’s return to Sperryville. Settle attended Rappahannock public schools, and graduated from Rappahannock High. He then attended George Mason University in Fairfax for three years, where he majored in education. Settle brings to four the number of full-time deputies in the county.
Marie Davis represented Rappahannock County at the Virginia Sfate 4-H Congress in June. She competed with 4-H’ers from all over the State and placed in the top 15 contestants in the Share-the-Fun competition.
